About The Position

Regina Caeli Academy (RCA), a classical homeschool academy in the Catholic tradition, is seeking a part-time Substitute Teacher for its Phoenix, AZ location. This role involves teaching in a classical and Catholic classroom for up to 14 hours per week on an as-needed basis for the 2026-2027 academic year. Substitutes are called when staff are unavailable but can decline shifts. No formal teaching certification or experience is required, as comprehensive training will be provided. RCA offers instruction in a formal Socratic classroom setting on Mondays and Thursdays. This is an hourly position with provided childcare/nursery. Applicants must be able to sign an Oath of Fidelity to the Catholic Church and demonstrate a deep love for the Catholic faith. Curriculum and grading guidelines will be provided, and tutors receive training in instruction and classroom management according to RCA standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, good organization, timeliness, a traditional view of the student/teacher relationship, and must be actively living the Catholic faith, including having received all appropriate sacraments. All staff must complete a background check and RCA Safe Child training prior to employment.

Requirements
