About The Position

Regina Caeli Academy (RCA) is seeking a part-time Substitute Teacher for its classical and Catholic classroom in Jacksonville, FL. This position is on an as-needed basis for 13 hours per week during the 2026-2027 academic year. The substitute will be called when staff are unavailable but can decline shifts. No formal teaching certification or experience is required, as training will be provided. RCA is a national organization offering Socratic classroom instruction on Mondays and Thursdays. This is an hourly position with provided childcare/nursery. Applicants must be able to sign an Oath of Fidelity to the Catholic Church and demonstrate a deep love for the Catholic faith. Curriculum and grading guidelines will be provided, and tutors receive training in instruction and classroom management according to RCA standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, good organization, timeliness, a traditional view of the student/teacher relationship, and must be actively living the Catholic faith, including having received all appropriate sacraments. All staff must complete a background check and RCA Safe Child training prior to teaching. Center hours are Mondays and Thursdays from 8:45 am to 3:15 pm.

Requirements
