About The Position

Regina Caeli Academy (RCA) is seeking a part-time Substitute Teacher to work in a classical and Catholic classroom setting in Omaha, Nebraska. This role involves teaching up to 13 hours per week, primarily on Mondays and Thursdays, as needed when regular staff are unavailable. RCA is a classical homeschool academy in the Catholic tradition, offering instruction in a formal Socratic classroom setting. Substitutes will receive clear instructions, curriculum, and grading guidelines, and will be trained in classroom management according to RCA standards. Applicants must be practicing Catholics, able to sign an Oath of Fidelity, and will undergo a background check and mandatory training prior to employment.

Requirements

• Must be able to sign an Oath of Fidelity to the Catholic Church.
• Must have a deep love for the Catholic faith.
• Must be living the Catholic faith day-to-day, including having received all the sacraments appropriate to his or her state in life.
• Must complete a background check.
• Must complete mandatory training prior to working in the classroom.
• Must complete a couple of virtual staff training modules at home before teaching at RCA.
