About The Position

We are looking for people dedicated to helping students learn in the absence of the classroom teacher. This is for the 2026-2027 school year.

Requirements

• Must hold a valid MO teaching certificate or MO substitute teaching certificate.
• Preference given to those with a valid current substitute certificate (or teaching certificate).
• To obtain a substitute certificate: Completed 36 college credit hours from a DESE approved college or university and can pass a criminal background screening.
• OR Must hold a high school diploma and complete a 20 hour course provided by Frontline Education System and can pass a criminal background screening.

Responsibilities

• Help students learn in the absence of the classroom teacher.

Benefits

• Regular Teacher Substitute - $130.00 per day
• Regular Long-Term Teacher Substitute - $160.00 per day (eleven or more consecutive days in the same assignment)
• Retired Teacher Substitute $145.00 per day (substitute who retired as a certificated teacher)
• Retired Teacher Long-Term Substitute - $175.00 per day (eleven or more consecutive days in the same assignment)
• Incentive - $130 (ten or more days in a calendar month)
• Certificated Para Substitute (Sub/Teaching Certificate Required)
• Regular Para Substitute - $115.00 per day
• Retired Para Substitute - $115.00 per day (substitute who retired as a certificated teacher)
• Incentive - $115 (ten or more days in a calendar month)
