Part-time Substitute Teacher - Southeast Denver
About The Position
Kokua is seeking substitute teachers for the 2025-26 school year in northeast Denver. This role offers the opportunity to make a positive impact in the community by sparking a love for learning in students and helping to address the teacher shortage crisis. Substitute teachers will have a flexible schedule, typically working weekdays from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm. The position allows for autonomy in choosing assignments and locations, and provides a chance to add representation in the classroom through unique experiences. Kokua offers competitive daily rates, immediate accrual of paid sick days, a quick hiring process, and access to a supportive team.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree preferred, but non-degreed candidates will be considered based on relevant work experience
- 1+ year(s) experience working with students
- Confidence to manage a classroom of students
- Ability to pass state & federal background check
- Strong belief that every child has a unique & powerful gift to share with the world

Benefits

- Earn up to $220/day with weekly paychecks
- $170-200 for daily positions and $187-220 for long-term positions, dependent on experience and certification
