About The Position

Kokua is seeking passionate individuals to become elementary substitute teachers in Denver, CO, for the 2025-26 school year. This role offers the opportunity to make a positive impact in the community, spark a love for learning in students, and help address the teacher shortage crisis. Substitute teaching provides a flexible schedule, typically with working hours from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm, allowing individuals to pursue other interests. It also offers the chance to add representation in the classroom and choose teaching assignments and locations that are most appealing. Kokua is dedicated to connecting students with classroom role models who can empower them to achieve their best.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree preferred, but non-degreed candidates will be considered based on relevant work experience.
• 1+ year(s) experience working with students.
• Confidence to manage a classroom of students.
• Ability to pass state & federal background check.
• Strong belief that every child has a unique & powerful gift to share with the world.
