About The Position

Bell Creek Academy is seeking a Substitute Teacher to provide instruction and classroom management in the absence of regular teachers. The substitute teacher will follow established routines, teach prepared lessons, and ensure student behavior is managed appropriately. This role requires adherence to school policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Must have 60 hours of secondary education.

Nice To Haves

• Substitute Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Report to the building principal or school office manager upon arrival.
• Review teaching plans and schedules with the principal, department head, or team leader.
• Maintain established routines and procedures of the school and classroom.
• Teach lessons as outlined in the Substitute Teacher's guide prepared by the absent teacher.
• Oversee pupil behavior in class and during lunch and recess periods.
• Submit a written report on the day's activities to the office manager at the end of each teaching day.
• Follow all policies, rules, and procedures applicable to teachers and good teaching practices.
