Substitute Paraeducators are needed for daily and on-call positions across various grade levels, from PreK-12th, including Post Grad Level. The role involves assisting in the instruction and supervision of students, providing academic, social, and behavioral support in inclusive, small group, individual, or sub-separate settings under the direction of a classroom teacher, special education teacher, service provider, or administrator. This position supports students with special needs by adhering to their IEPs/504 Plans and assists with various assessments. The role may require physical management, including crisis management and restraining students at risk of harm to themselves or others, following school/district-approved procedures (training provided). Responsibilities also include data collection, reporting student progress, escorting students, collaborating with educational staff, fostering a positive learning environment, assisting students with daily living tasks (eating, mobility, communication, dressing, toileting, diapering), lifting and carrying learners, promoting independence, and safeguarding confidential information in compliance with FERPA and HIPAA. General duties as assigned by teachers, principals, supervisors, the Superintendent, or per school committee policies are also expected.
