About The Position
We are seeking caring professionals for all grade levels for the 26-27 School Year. At Helena Public Schools, our vision is to foster dynamic educational experiences that prepare all students for life. As a Substitute Para Educator (Teacher Assistant), you contribute to this mission by providing assistance with classroom instruction and assisting students who may need a little extra help. You will work as part of a team that serves 8,000 students at 18 campuses across Helena.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience working with school aged children is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Promote a class environment favorable to learning and personal growth in the para educators (teacher assistants) absence.
- Provide assistance for individual students and/or small groups based on lesson plans.
- May assist in the maintenance of appropriate student records.
