About The Position

Lehigh Valley Academy is seeking a compassionate On-Call Substitute Health Room Nurse. The ideal candidate will provide health services and support to students in the absence of the regular health room nurse or Certified School Nurse under the direction of the Certified School Nurses.

Requirements

• Valid Pennsylvania RN or LPN license required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in emergency situations.
• Commitment to the mission and values of Lehigh Valley Academy.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working in a school or pediatric setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care and health services to students and staff, including first aid, medication administration, and emergency care as needed.
• Assess and evaluate the health needs of students, making appropriate referrals and recommendations.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date health records for students and staff, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with health regulations.
• Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and school staff regarding student health concerns and issues.
• Work collaboratively with school administrators, teachers, and staff to support a safe and healthy school environment.
• Provide health education and resources to students and staff as needed.
