About The Position

School Professionals, a division of the TemPositions Group of Companies, is recruiting substitute teachers for middle and high school math and science positions in the Bronx for Spring 2020. The role offers the opportunity to work independently and determine your own schedule, choose among multiple school settings and classroom environments, submit weekly timeslips for assignments worked, and build your résumé and grow as an educator. Applicants should apply online in advance. Candidates scheduled for an in-person interview must bring valid photo ID for employment verification.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalency, or a bachelor's degree, or one of the listed alternative qualifications.
• At least 6 months of experience in teaching, childcare, or an analogous position, or one of the listed alternative qualifications: a semester of student teaching; enrollment in or completion of a master's in education; or at least 6 months of experience as an afterschool teacher or assistant teacher, day care worker, summer camp counselor, Sunday school teacher, or in similar work with children aged 2–6.
• Valid photo ID for employment verification at an in-person interview, if scheduled.
