Substitute Instructional Assistants in CCS are essential partners who work alongside classroom teachers to support student learning, reinforce instruction, and assist with classroom management. You will play a key role in fostering an inclusive, structured, and engaging educational environment where every student can thrive.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated commitment to equity, cultural responsiveness, and student success.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience working with children in an educational, childcare, or youth program setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with classroom teachers to deliver instruction to individual students or small groups.
• Assist in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs), behavioral interventions, and classroom support strategies.
• Create and maintain a safe, positive, and supportive classroom environment where all students feel respected and valued.
• Help monitor student progress and communicate observational feedback to teaching staff.
• Supervise students during non-instructional times, including recess, lunch, arrival, dismissal, and hallway transitions.
• Perform administrative and classroom preparation tasks as needed to support smooth daily operations.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support student growth and school success.
