About The Position
This is a part-time, temporary position responsible for light to moderate cleaning of designated school building areas. Duties include cleaning classrooms, offices, restrooms, cafeterias, hallways, and other assigned areas. Cleaning may also occur in central school facilities such as transportation, child nutrition, or the central administration building.
Requirements
- High school diploma recommended.
- One year of customer service experience recommended.
Responsibilities
- Sweeping and dry mopping floors.
- Vacuuming carpeting and removing spots and stains.
- Washing windows and walls.
- Dusting and polishing furniture, woodwork, and other furnishings.
- Scrubbing and washing kitchen fixtures.
- Cleaning restrooms, replacing toilet paper and soap, and washing/polishing bathroom fixtures.
- Picking up paper and debris in the building and on the grounds.
- Replacing light bulbs as required.
- Cleaning and mopping the kitchen area.
- Folding and unfolding chairs.
- Moving furniture.
- Washing, drying, and folding tablecloths and towels.
- Transporting, emptying, and cleaning large trash containers into outdoor units.
- Maintaining equipment and materials used in the workspace.
- Performing work under the direct and general supervision of the Building Supervisor.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
