About The Position

An employee in this class performs a variety of manual activities cleaning and maintaining buildings. This role involves independent tasks in unskilled and semi-skilled maintenance functions, such as delivery of supplies, materials and equipment, making minor equipment repairs, and reporting needed maintenance and repair of equipment. The position is responsible for the timely completion of assignments at school and may require working at other campuses as a floater.

Ability to perform a variety of manual activities cleaning and maintaining buildings.
Ability to perform unskilled and semi-skilled maintenance functions.
Ability to load and unload trucks.
Ability to clean and sanitize space and equipment.
Ability to transport equipment.
Ability to perform general warehouse duties.
Ability to verify delivery orders for accuracy.
Ability to place delivered items.
Ability to deliver supplies to staff.
Ability to maintain equipment according to schedule.
Ability to maintain sufficient levels of fuel oil and other fluids.
Ability to sweep, mop, vacuum, strip, wax and buff floor surfaces.
Ability to clean restroom areas and replenish supplies.
Ability to clean windows, walls, woodwork, blinds and light fixtures.
Ability to dust and clean desks and other furniture.
Ability to empty trash receptacles and deposit recyclable material.
Ability to sweep sidewalks and walkways.
Ability to police grounds and pick up debris.
Ability to shovel snow and apply de-icing compounds.
Ability to replace burned out light bulbs.
Responsible for timely completion of assignment at site/school.

Responsibilities

Performs a variety of manual activities in accordance with established practices and cleaning schedules including maintaining buildings and maintenance of grounds.
Delivery of supplies, materials and equipment.
Making minor equipment repairs.
Reports needed for maintenance and repair of equipment.
Loading and unloading trucks.
Cleaning and sanitizing space and equipment.
Transporting equipment and general warehouse duties as required.
Verifying delivery orders for accuracy against written delivery invoices or work orders.
Placement of delivered items.
Delivers supplies to the staff as assigned.
Maintain equipment according to schedule.
Assumes responsibility for maintaining sufficient levels of fuel oil and other fluids vital to the proper functions of equipment assigned.
Sweeps, mops, vacuums, strips, waxes and buffs floor surfaces.
Cleans restroom areas and replenishes paper supplies and soap as necessary.
Cleans window, walls, woodwork, blinds and light fixtures.
Dust and cleans desks and other furniture.
Empties trash receptacles, deposits recyclable material in proper receptacles.
Sweeps sidewalks and walkways outside of buildings; police grounds, pickup up debris, shovels snow and or applies de-icing compounds to walkways and driveways as necessary.
Replaces burned out light bulbs.
Responsible for timely completion of assignment at site/school.
Performs other duties as assigned by administration.
May be required to work at other campuses as a floater.
