About The Position

This position provides students with a safe, attractive, comfortable, and clean environment by fulfilling custodial duties when permanent employees are absent from work. The role ensures an efficient place for learning and development within the district.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to perform job functions in line with OSHA-WISHA standards
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, possess awareness (for self and others), listen actively, be patient, incorporate humor/lightheartedness into work, be empathic, and be customer-service oriented
• Ability to operate buffing machines, scrubbers, vacuums, and other cleaning equipment
• Ability to readily evaluate and respond to building needs
• Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.

Nice To Haves

• Working knowledge of general building maintenance and system operations
• Successful experience as a custodian, janitor, or work experience in a related field
• Ability to speak Spanish
• Successful experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds
• Successful experience working with or volunteering with adolescents
