About The Position
Substitute Cook needed for School Food Service in the Sparta, NJ area. This position is based on an on call as needed basis. Monday through Friday, day shift. No weekends or holidays, summers off. Must be willing to travel within a 25 mile radius of the Sparta/ Vernon NJ areas.
Requirements
- Cooking experience required
- Must be able to obtain the proper documentation to work in schools.
- Must be willing to travel within a 25 mile radius of the Sparta/ Vernon NJ areas.
Nice To Haves
- K-12 experience a plus
Responsibilities
- Food preparation, both hot and cold meals.
- Following menus and recipes according to the NSLP guidelines.
- Adhere to all safety and food handling procedures.
- Use of personal protective equipment at all times.
- Stocking
- Serving
- Maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen environment at all times.
