About The Position

The Cook/Baker is responsible for preparing, cooking, baking, and serving a variety of foods in quantity at an assigned school site. This role also involves assisting with other food preparation duties, maintaining a clean and sanitary facility, and providing training and work direction to others. Requirements

• Effective oral and written communication skills with parents, students, and faculty.
• Demonstrated people skills indicating ability to function in a team-oriented environment.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of one year of experience in cooking and baking food in large quantities.
• Completion of training course for certification of beginning school food service personnel as prescribed in 702 KAR 6:045.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, bake and serve a variety of foods in quantity at an assigned school site.
• Assist in other food preparation duties as directed.
• Maintain facilities in a clean and sanitary condition.
