About The Position

This role is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of public and employee areas. Key duties include cleaning restrooms, showers, glass, and floor surfaces using designated chemicals and equipment. The position also involves dusting surfaces, emptying trash, inspecting furniture for damage, cleaning and maintaining lights, and posting caution signs when necessary. The cleaner will also be responsible for contacting other departments for urgent repairs, responding promptly to guest and department requests, and identifying and reporting maintenance issues. Adherence to company and safety policies, including proper storage of flammable materials and completion of safety training, is crucial. The role requires maintaining a professional appearance, ensuring confidentiality, and providing excellent guest service according to company standards. Physical requirements include the ability to lift and move objects, push and pull machinery, reach, bend, twist, and perform tasks requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination. The position also involves moving through confined spaces, using ladders, and standing, sitting, kneeling, or walking for extended periods.

Responsibilities

  • Clean public and employee restrooms and showers.
  • Clean glass in public and employee areas.
  • Clean floor surfaces in public or employee space using designated chemicals, supplies, and equipment.
  • Dust surfaces in assigned area.
  • Empty trash containers, ashtrays, and ash urns in public areas into proper containers.
  • Inspect condition of furniture for tears, rips, and stains and report damages.
  • Clean and maintain lights.
  • Post caution signs to limit traffic when necessary.
  • Contact other departments directly for urgent repairs.
  • Respond promptly to requests from guests and other departments.
  • Identify and report preventative or other maintenance issues in public areas or guest rooms.
  • Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures.
  • Report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries.
  • Complete safety training and certifications.
  • Properly store flammable materials.
  • Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional.
  • Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.
