About The Position

As a member of HDR’s Power sector, the Substation Intern will gain real-world experience on projects related to electricity generation, transmission, and delivery. The role provides opportunities to work alongside engineering professionals, connect with recent graduates and company leaders through mentoring and young professionals programs, and contribute to power systems. Assignments are performed under the direct supervision of a professional or Project Manager.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program.
• Attention to detail.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Basic Microsoft Office skills.
• An attitude and commitment to being an active participant in HDR’s employee-owned culture.

Nice To Haves

• Preferably have completed two years toward a degree and have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Demonstrated knowledge of software packages related to the field of study or industry.
• Local candidates preferred.
