About The Position

Cooperative Energy is hiring a part-time Substation Maintenance Intern in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. Under direct supervision, the intern will assist with installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical substation equipment, including transformers, gas and oil circuit breakers, battery banks, and motor-operated switches. Interns must have completed at least one semester of core curriculum in an IC&E program before starting work.

The preferred schedule is two 10-hour days per week to provide consistent scheduling and maximize the internship experience. Applicants must upload an unofficial transcript to be considered.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Currently enrolled as an undergraduate pursuing a degree in an IC&E field of study.
• Completed at least one semester of college-level core curriculum courses before working.
• Minimum GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.
