About The Position

Our mental health and substance use disorder providers, clinicians, and staff bring their diverse lived experience to help inform and guide the care they provide to clients. Our integrated programs and services offer coordinated care to people of all ages in their homes, the community, and in our clinics. We strive for excellence in clinical care as we serve those living with mental illness, substance use disorders, crisis, unstable housing, and trauma. Canvas Health is a non-profit, Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) specializing in serving clients who are on Medicaid.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human services related field or higher; or equivalent experience with a proven track record.
  • Must hold a valid license for an Alcohol and Drug Counselor from the Board of Behavior Health and Therapy in Minnesota and meet the requirements described by Mn. Stat. 245G.11 Subd. 5 (Mn.Stat.245G.11 Subd.4(1).
  • Must be Rule 25 certified
  • At least five years' experience in the field of substance use disorders that includes experience in delivery of cognitive behavioral approaches, motivational interviewing and working with co-occurring disorders.
  • Have three or more years of experience providing individual and group counseling to individuals with substance use disorder (Mn.Stat.245G.11 Subd.4(2).
  • Experience working with Court Services, Social Services and Managed Care networks.
  • Experience with Electronic Health Record systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree preferred
  • Minimum of two years direct experience with supervision preferred
  • Experience working with and/or delivering services to diverse populations
