About The Position

The Substance Use Disorder Treatment Therapist will be seeing clients who struggle with substance use disorder to assist them in recovery from substance abuse and co-occurring disorders through counseling, education, role modeling, and empathetic support.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in counseling, psychology, or a related field with an internship/practicum
• Ability to perform group instruction and activities
• Good organizational and documentation skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients and referral sources
• Proficient writing skills
• DSM V knowledge
• Knowledge of community agencies
• Effective planning skills
• Knowledge of various clinical interventions to treat substance use disorders and mental illness

Nice To Haves

• Experience preferred working with the seriously mentally ill

Responsibilities

• Plan, manage, and direct client caseload as well as individual treatment of clients.
• Provide clinical documentation, which is accurate, timely, and in accordance with all regulatory standards.
• Maintain clinical records to comply with all applicable standards.
• Provide Crisis Intervention and Resolution services as needed.
• Provide consultation to individuals and groups regarding substance use disorders and mental health treatment.
• Know and follow established program policies and procedures.
• Exhibit a proper attitude and work ethic as established by Program Director and Center standards.
• Meet productivity standards as defined by the Center.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
