CADC / Substance Use Disorder Specialist
About The Position
At Easterseals PORT Health (ESPH), our mission is rooted in empowering individuals and strengthening communities, one meaningful connection at a time. We are seeking a compassionate and caring Substance Use Specialist (CADC or LCAS-A) to facilitate impactful groups and provide support in our outpatient clinic. This role involves providing screening, assessment, treatment planning, IOP coverage, and therapeutic services to adults and children with substance use needs. The SUD Specialist also ensures accurate documentation, supports crisis intervention, and promotes a safe, therapeutic environment. Services are provided under clinical supervision.
Requirements
- CADC required
- 2 years of experience in Substance Use services
- Proficiency with EHR systems or technically savvy
- Valid driver’s license, insurance and reliable transportation for work-related travel
Nice To Haves
- Provisional Licensure preferred : LCAS-A
Responsibilities
- Facilitate impactful groups
- Provide screening, assessment, treatment planning, IOP coverage, and therapeutic services to adults and children with substance use needs
- Collaborate with clinical teams and referral sources
- Support clients through aftercare planning and community referrals
- Ensure accurate documentation
- Support crisis intervention
- Promote a safe, therapeutic environment
