We are seeking a compassionate and caring Substance Use Specialist (CADC or LCAS-A) to facilitate impactful groups and provide support in our outpatient clinic in Elizabeth City, NC. As a Substance Use Disorder Specialist (CADC or LCASA), you will provide screening, assessment, treatment planning, IOP coverage, and therapeutic services to adults and children with substance use needs. This role involves facilitating group therapy, collaborating with clinical teams and referral sources, and supporting clients through aftercare planning and community referrals. The SUD Specialist also ensures accurate documentation, supports crisis intervention, and promotes a safe, therapeutic environment. Services are provided under clinical supervision.

Requirements

  • CADC required
  • 2 years of experience in Substance Use services
  • Proficiency with EHR systems or technically savvy.
  • Valid driver’s license, insurance and reliable transportation for work-related travel

Nice To Haves

  • Provisional Licensure preferred: LCAS-A
  • Knowledge of therapeutic practices, group facilitation techniques, as well as problem solving and de-escalation in times of crisis.
