About The Position

Crossroads Treatment Centers is seeking a dedicated Substance Abuse Counselor to join our team in Hartsville, SC. Since 2005, Crossroads has been a leader in treating patients with opioid use disorder, offering accessible, high-quality, evidence-based medication-assisted treatment (MAT). Our outpatient clinics across the U.S. are committed to combating the opioid epidemic and guiding individuals toward recovery. This role is crucial in providing comprehensive care and improving health equity.

Requirements

• General experience working with underserved populations in a clinical setting.
• No legal impediments to serving in a licensed opiate treatment program.
• Bachelor's degree in human services or a related field.
• Certified/licensed in addiction counseling in the state of SC is preferred.

Nice To Haves

• Lived addiction experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provides individual counseling to highly complex patients.
• Conducts clinical assessments to appropriately assess patient’s treatment needs.
• Designs and updates the patient’s treatment plan, including care coordination, referrals, and discharge planning.
• Manages assigned caseload and compliance with clinical treatment requirements.
• Collaborates with nurses and providers to provide holistic treatment services.
• Facilitates urine drug screening for patients.
