About The Position

Crossroads Treatment Centers is seeking a Substance Abuse Counselor to join their team. This role involves providing individual counseling to complex patients, conducting clinical assessments, designing and updating treatment plans, managing caseloads, and collaborating with nurses and providers for holistic treatment. Requirements

• General experience working with underserved populations in a clinical setting.
• Qualified candidates will hold one or more of the following certifications/licenses: Bachelor's degree in human services or a related field.
• Certified/licensed in addiction counseling in the state of SC is preferred.
• Must be willing/able to get certified in SC.

Nice To Haves

• Lived addiction experience is a plus.
• Excellent training if you are new to our field. We are able to offer necessary training/supervision to those in process of becoming fully certified or licensed.

Responsibilities

• Provides individual counseling to highly complex patients
• Conducts clinical assessments to appropriately assess patient’s treatment needs
• Designs and updates the patient’s treatment plan, including care coordination, referrals, and discharge planning
• Manages assigned caseload and compliance with clinical treatment requirements
• Collaborates with nurses and providers to provide holistic treatment services
• Facilitates urine drug screening for patients
