About The Position

Amentum seeks an experienced Submarine ILS Supply Technician in Newport News VA. This is an active role, not a desk job, requiring hands-on support in warehouse and shipyard environments. You will provide "deck plate" support right where the action is in the shipyard. You’ll be the go-to person for making sure parts and equipment get exactly where they need to go.

Requirements

Must have an Active Secret US Government Clearance.
US Citizenship is required to maintain an Active Secret US Government Clearance.
High School Diploma or GED.
Five (5) years of experience, to include: supervisory or warehouse lead at a DoD facility; logistics support for projects involving electronic/ electrical repair and installation, ordering, acquisition, distribution of material, equipment and resources.
Possess a valid driver's license and be able to obtain a government driving permit if required.
Demonstrated ability to work independently to overcome issues at the lowest level.

Nice To Haves

Previous Navy/Submarine/shipyard supply technician experience.

Responsibilities

Manage inventories, shipping/receiving, and property control using digital and manual systems.
Handle storing, stacking, and palletizing heavy government electronic equipment; operate hand/power trucks.
Perform inspections, maintain tactical equipment configurations in proprietary systems, and manage discrepancy reporting.
Provide direct, on-site logistics support to technicians and Navy personnel during submarine construction.
Interface with various entities to manage equipment replenishment, replacement, and returns.
