About The Position

EBC is seeking a Subcontracts Administrator to join our Ladore Project in Campbell River. EBC specializes in major infrastructure projects such as bridges, roads, highways, tunnels, and marine installations. We are known for our ability to meet deadlines and budgets, and our expertise in the field has allowed us to participate in significant projects like the Samuel-De-Champlain Bridge, the Réseau Express Métropolitain (REM), and the Site C hydro-electric power station. Our team also contributes to wind farms and hydroelectric projects. EBC is a leader in the construction sector with a strong reputation across Canada for its specialized services.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in a relevant discipline
  • Strong knowledge of construction law
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Construction industry
  • Experience dealing with major change/claims management or dispute resolution issues in a major project
  • Excellent command of computer software including Microsoft Office Suite, MS Project, BlueBeam, etc.
  • Strong business acumen

Responsibilities

  • Negotiate subcontract agreements with clear scopes, pricing, and schedule requirements
  • Monitor subcontractor performance
  • Administer subcontract changes
  • Review and process subcontractor invoices and claims
  • Maintain subcontract records including agreements, correspondence, and change logs
  • Coordinate issue resolution for gaps, delays, or quality concerns
  • Ensure subcontractor compliance with project requirements, safety rules, and contract terms
  • Support site teams with clarification of subcontract obligations
  • Identify and implement record keeping procedures to validate potential changes
  • Ensure timely and accurate contractual correspondence
