About The Position

Lockheed Martin's Missiles & Fire Control, SOF GLSS (Special Operations Forces - Global Logistic Sustainment Services) contract provide logistics and sustainment supporting multiple programs and platforms. With an established supply base around the world we are currently seeking an experienced supply chain / acquisition professional to join our Global Supply Chain Management team in the Lexington, KY area. This position supports our Special Operations Forces – Global Logistics Support Services contract, which is the U.S. Special Operations Command's (USSOCOM) largest service contract vehicle providing a wide range of tailored logistics, maintenance, and sustainment services.

Requirements

  • Significant Acquisition / procurement /Subcontract experience
  • Comprehensive understanding of Global Supply Chain and/or complex Government procurement concepts and best practices
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to analyze multiple data sources
  • Solid communication skills
  • Comprehensive understanding of negotiations and ability to analyze pricing to establish a negotiation position
  • Demonstrated experience with proposal evaluations (Price/Cost Analysis) and negotiations, including Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Acquisition Regulations (DFAR).
  • Statement of work experience
  • Strong Subcontracting background in Government contracts
  • Experience leading teams and project initiatives
  • Experience with lean initiatives and supporting cross functional teams
  • MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN
  • This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

  • Background in competitive procurement
  • Handling complex negotiations
  • Cross-functional knowledge of Supplier Quality and Engineering, as they relate to subcontract management
  • Ability to create and present using Microsoft Office tools
  • Ability to interact with senior management, suppliers and other external personnel on significant matters, often requiring coordination between functional organizations

Responsibilities

  • Management of large subcontracts from Request for Proposal, to contract creation, through the life cycle of the effort
  • Management of cost, schedule and performance
  • Working supplier corrective actions and return to green efforts as required
  • Reporting status to Sr. and executive leadership
  • Working closely with Compliance supporting audits
  • Serving as a mentor and knowledge resource on basic and complex subcontracts, including those with Spec/SOW(Statement of Work) driven requirements, and other specific procurements, as required
