Sub Leader (DMMI WH - Shipping, 2nd Shift)
About The Position
The Sub Leader position is within the DMMI Production Control / Warehouse - Outbound Logistics (Shipping) department, specifically for the 2nd shift. The core hours for this role are 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM. A resume is required for consideration. This role involves leading shipping team members in the absence of the Team Leader, conducting daily audits, facilitating startup meetings, and filling in for absent associates. The Sub Leader is responsible for communicating information across departments, maintaining team leader documentation, and training associates and temporary staff. This position also involves enforcing company policies and procedures and serving as the first point of contact for associate assistance. Overtime work is required as necessary.
Requirements
- Complete Sub Leader Selection Process pre-qualification requirements.
- Must be an Associate III or above.
- Submit two (2) recommendation forms from Team Leader and above.
- Complete Sub Leader Learning Path Training in Oracle.
- High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- Must be able to successfully complete fork lift / PIV pre-assessment prior to applying.
- Must be able to obtain a fork lift / PIV license upon acceptance of position.
- Previous warehouse experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong math skills.
- Must be dependable.
- Outstanding attendance.
- Some inventory skill.
- Ability to train others.
- Ability to work overtime on short notice.
- At least 2 years of warehouse experience.
- Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office, IBM Notes.
- Ability to enter multiple screens in CIGMA.
- Able to read and interpret technical manuals.
- Uses computer for data entry and spreadsheet manipulation.
- Ability to operate a battery hoist, baler, and dock lever.
- More than 2 years in current position unless promotable.
- Last Performance Appraisal Meets or Better.
- No Active Written Discipline.

Responsibilities
- Lead 2nd shift Shipping team members in Team Leader’s absence.
- Perform associate and temporary daily audits.
- Facilitate daily start up meetings.
- Fill in for associates that are absent.
- Communicate information to all levels and departments.
- Work on Team Leader book, charts and graphs.
- Train and help develop associates and Temporaries.
- Responsible for enforcement of Denso policies and procedures.
- Serves as associates' first contact for help.
- Must be able to work overtime as necessary.
