About The Position

The Sub Assembly position is an on-site role in Aurora, Ohio. The role assembles hardware components onto fabricated parts and panels to create subassemblies for LayerZero Power Systems products. It requires precision, mechanical aptitude, and attention to detail to ensure assemblies meet engineering specifications and quality standards. The ideal candidate is hands-on, reliable, and comfortable working in a team-oriented manufacturing environment.

Requirements

Experience in assembly in a manufacturing environment or transferable mechanical experience.
Ability to read assembly drawings and follow directions.
High school diploma or GED required.

Nice To Haves

Technical or trade school education.

Responsibilities

Install hardware such as fasteners, studs, hinges, brackets, and clips onto fabricated metal and non-metal components.
Perform subassembly operations by interpreting assembly drawings, work instructions, and bills of materials (BOMs).
Prepare components for assembly by cleaning, deburring, aligning, and accurately positioning parts.
Use hand tools, power tools, and torque tools safely and effectively.
Verify assembled components for dimensional accuracy, fit, and function.
Identify and report defects, missing components, and quality issues.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with company policies.
Support continuous improvement by suggesting process or efficiency improvements.
Collaborate with other assemblers, quality, and engineering teams.
