About The Position

The Sub Assembly role assembles hardware components onto fabricated parts and panels to create subassemblies used in LayerZero Power Systems products. The position requires precision, mechanical aptitude, and attention to detail to ensure assemblies meet engineering specifications and quality standards. The ideal candidate is hands-on and reliable and works well in a team-oriented manufacturing environment. This is an on-site position in Aurora, Ohio, on the second shift.

Requirements

Assembly experience in a manufacturing environment or transferable mechanical experience.
Ability to read assembly drawings and follow directions.
High school diploma or GED.

Nice To Haves

Technical or trade school education.

Responsibilities

Install hardware such as fasteners, studs, hinges, brackets, and clips onto fabricated metal and non-metal components.
Perform sub-assembly operations by interpreting assembly drawings, work instructions, and bills of materials (BOMs).
Prepare components for assembly by cleaning, deburring, aligning, and positioning parts accurately.
Use hand tools, power tools, and torque tools safely and effectively.
Verify assembled components for dimensional accuracy, fit, and function.
Identify and report defects, missing components, or quality issues.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with company policies.
Support continuous improvement efforts by suggesting process or efficiency improvements.
Collaborate with other assemblers, quality, and engineering teams.
