About The Position

The Stylist at Johnny Was is a luxury sales professional and brand ambassador who delivers a highly personalized, elevated client experience while driving individual and store sales results. The role combines styling expertise, relationship-building, sales performance, and operational support, helping create an inspiring in-store experience that reflects the Johnny Was aesthetic and values. The Stylist also supports store leadership and the boutique’s day-to-day operations.

Requirements

2–3+ years of luxury, contemporary, or premium retail sales experience preferred.
Proven track record of achieving sales goals and performance metrics.
Strong interpersonal skills and a client-first mindset.
Passion for fashion, craftsmanship, and styling.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

Deliver an elevated, personalized client experience that reflects the Johnny Was aesthetic and lifestyle.
Build authentic, long-term client relationships through proactive clienteling and outreach during and after purchases.
Maintain and grow an active client book through consistent follow-up and appointment selling.
Demonstrate product knowledge, including fabrication, fit, craftsmanship, and seasonal storytelling.
Anticipate client needs and resolve concerns professionally and urgently.
Support store events, trunk shows, and community activations to drive traffic and client engagement.
Achieve and exceed individual sales goals and key performance indicator targets, including sales volume, units per transaction, average unit retail, average order value, and client acquisition and retention.
Drive omnichannel sales through in-store, online, and client outreach opportunities.
Use CRM and clienteling tools to track performance and encourage repeat business.
Represent the Johnny Was lifestyle and values and maintain a polished, luxury-appropriate personal presentation.
Follow company policies, operational procedures, and compliance standards.
Support visual merchandising and ensure the sales floor reflects brand storytelling and seasonal direction.
Oversee boutique operations independently as needed.
Communicate effectively and build strong partnerships with clients, peers, and management.
Accurately process POS transactions, including cash handling, alarms, and security procedures.
Open and close the store in accordance with company standards and compliance requirements.
Assist with shipment processing, stock replenishment, and inventory management.
Maintain a clean, organized, and visually compelling store environment.
