About The Position
The Stump Crew Foreman leads a team performing stump grinding and other maintenance related to tree removal. The foreman reviews the day's jobs, prepares trucks and equipment, ensures safety requirements are followed, transports crew members to jobsites, documents completed work, communicates with customers, and keeps the team on schedule.
Requirements
- Clean driving record and ability to pass a DOT physical.
- Understanding of blue stake and utility markings.
- 1–3 years of stump grinding experience.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and take directions.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- 1–3 years of prior landscaping experience.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Subject to MVR, DOT physical, and criminal background check.
Responsibilities
- Review the jobs scheduled for the day.
- Clean trucks and confirm that each truck is stocked with the equipment needed for the jobs, including the appropriate grinder.
- Check in to the truck using Samsara.
- Apply all safety requirements and OSHA standards.
- Get all crew members safely to each jobsite.
- Take before-and-after photos and upload them to Samsara.
- Conduct job walkthroughs with customers before and after work is completed.
- Ensure grinding areas are prepared with a safety shield.
- Ensure all team members wear required PPE.
- Keep teams on schedule.
