About The Position

The Studio Operations Director will oversee B/SPOKE's flagship studio in South Boston, which is the most complex and highest-volume location in the portfolio. This role is focused on driving revenue growth, developing the team, championing the local community, and elevating the studio's performance. The Director will lead two Assistant Studio Managers and the front desk team, with a strong emphasis on being present and accountable on the floor rather than behind a desk.

Requirements

  • 3+ years in a senior studio, gym, or hospitality operations role
  • Proven track record of hitting and exceeding financial targets
  • Experience managing and developing direct reports
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable with a 7-day schedule (one weekend day required, one weekday off)
  • Fluent in data and KPIs; ability to use numbers to make decisions

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with multi-format fitness or wellness operations
  • Familiarity with recovery amenities (sauna, cold plunge, or similar)
  • Background in community engagement or partnership development
  • Knowledge of the South Boston market

Responsibilities

  • Full P&L accountability across all formats, managing revenue, costs, and budget performance.
  • Build and execute marketing, community, and corporate partnership initiatives to drive acquisition, retention, and frequency.
  • Develop business projections and lead strategic planning with the Regional Director.
  • Apply a commercial lens to all decisions, including scheduling, staffing, and client experience investments.
  • Lead, develop, and coach two Assistant Studio Managers, fostering their ownership and capability.
  • Hire, onboard, and develop front desk staff, maintaining a high talent bar and managing performance with consistency and care.
  • Set the standard for B/SPOKE culture and hospitality at the flagship location, building genuine relationships with clients, instructors, and the community.
  • Delegate effectively and empower the team to own their shifts and solve problems.
  • Ensure consistent execution across three levels and four rooms, including room prep, format transitions, cleanliness, and brand standards.
  • Manage the REVIVE offering end-to-end, including safety protocols, booking, client orientation, and facility standards.
  • Strategically staff against class schedule demands to meet net profit targets and deliver a seamless client experience.
  • Manage conflict and lead through change with a solution-oriented mindset.

Benefits

  • Base Salary: $100,000–$110,000
  • Bonus: Up to 10% annual performance bonus
  • Schedule: 40 hours per week, including one weekend day (with one weekday off in exchange)
