About The Position

The Studio Manager is the heartbeat of the studio — responsible for driving membership sales, leading daily operations, and cultivating a high-performance team culture where customer satisfaction and safety come first. This leader will strategically implement initiatives that fuel revenue growth while upholding brand standards and operational excellence. The Studio Manager reports directly to the Franchise Owner / Regional Manager.

Requirements

  • Strong leadership, management, and communication skills
  • Ability to multitask, manage time effectively, and demonstrate a strong work ethic with integrity and professionalism
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM systems
  • CPR certification (or willingness to obtain within 3 months of hire)
  • Fitness certification from a nationally accredited organization (or willingness to obtain within 3 months), OR a B.A. in Exercise Science or related field
  • Personal training, group fitness, or small group fitness certifications accepted

Responsibilities

  • Deliver on Key Performance Indicators including membership sales conversion, member retention (measured as monthly churn), month-over-month recurring membership growth, and gross revenue targets
  • Execute lead follow-up, trial conversions, and outreach strategies to grow the membership base and reduce cancellations
  • Comply with and uphold all brand standards, company policies, and procedures
  • Maintain fluency in all brand systems and applications that support the studio and membership program
  • Build and manage weekly staffing schedules while monitoring payroll expenses
  • Ensure the facility is clean, well-maintained, operationally sound, and in compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Oversee full function and maintenance of all exercise equipment and accessories per maintenance schedules
  • Ensure all systems and processes are followed — including member check-in, waiver signatures, and membership adjustments (freezes, cancellations, upgrades/downgrades, etc.)
  • Provide in-studio leadership by coaching staff on sales techniques, customer service excellence, and performance accountability
  • Conduct bi-annual performance reviews and continuously monitor team engagement to drive studio success
  • Recruit, hire, and onboard new staff members
  • Demonstrate the ability to perform all job duties of the Assistant Studio Manager and Coaching staff, and actively support their professional development
  • Facilitate studio-specific marketing promotions, audit CRM campaigns, and manage local messaging
  • Support and lead community events that drive member appreciation and generate new leads
  • Maintain regular communication with the Customer Service team to resolve member issues effectively and efficiently
  • Lead the fitness floor when needed, guiding members through workouts in a safe and effective manner
  • Maintain a high-energy, motivating studio culture for both members and staff
