About The Position

St. Ann’s Senior Citizen Village is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented summer student to assist with administrative tasks, including human resources and accounting support. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a supportive environment while contributing to the overall efficiency of our operations.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program related to Business Administration, Human Resources, Accounting, or a similar field.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
• Must upload all relevant documents (ex: certificates, diplomas, proof of enrollment, licenses and/or memberships) relating to the qualifications of the position.
• Must bring a valid Criminal Record Check (CRC) to the interview; it must be dated within six (6) months and include a vulnerable sector search.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in an administrative, HR, or accounting role is a plus.
• Familiarity with accounting software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily administrative tasks, including filing, data entry, and maintaining records.
• Greet and assist visitors, residents, and their families with professionalism and a friendly demeanor.
• Assist with the recruitment process, including posting job ads, reviewing applications, and scheduling interviews.
• Assist with basic bookkeeping tasks, including invoicing and processing payments.
• Help prepare materials and resources for events, including flyers, signage, and participant lists.
• Assist with the collection and analysis of data related to resident activities, HR processes, and financial records.
• Work closely with administrative staff, the HR department, and the accounting team to support various projects.
