About The Position

The library seeks a dependable student worker to support day-to-day operations, including circulation duties and service to patrons. The position initially includes weekend work, with the possibility of weekday and evening shifts in the future. The schedule is discussed during the interview and confirmed before the start of the semester and/or summer. Requirements

• Must be enrolled as a student at Friends University.
• Good time management skills.

• Must be available during library operating hours, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with patrons.
• Register patrons and update patron records.
• Answer phones.
• Shelf read library materials.
• Support interlibrary loan and document delivery services.
• Conduct catalog searches and room counts.
• Check library materials in and out.
• Assist with book displays, signs, special projects, and events.
