About The Position
The Student Worker Writing Center Tutor assists WNMU students with a wide variety of writing assignments. The tutor helps students correct grammar and punctuation and improve the organization, logic, and clarity of their writing, while providing support and encouragement. The position also performs a broad range of administrative functions, maintains comprehensive communication with internal and external contacts, and models professional standards and ethics in accordance with WNMU philosophy. Other duties may be assigned.
Responsibilities
- Assist WNMU students with a wide variety of writing assignments.
- Help students correct grammar and punctuation.
- Help students improve the organization, logic, and clarity of their writing.
- Provide students with support and encouragement.
- Perform a broad range of administrative functions.
- Maintain comprehensive communication among internal and external contacts.
- Model professional standards and ethics in accordance with WNMU philosophy.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
