About The Position
SHU Theatre is seeking a Work Study for its upcoming academic year and theatre season to help in the areas of technical theatre production, design and organization of our facilities. This position is designed to give hands-on educational theatre production and management training to the work study. The Work Study at the Theatre has the potential to have working experience in the following areas: stage lighting, scene design/decoration, carpentry, props and costumes, stage management, sound design.
Requirements
- Federal Work Study (FWS) eligibility is required
Nice To Haves
- Students should have an interest in Theatre production, with prior experience welcome
Responsibilities
- Painting of scenery and set pieces for productions
- Cleaning and vacuuming of dust, sawdust and debris
- Assisting campus partners in the use of the Theatre space for events
