About The Position

We are looking for students to work in the athletics department as an Event Staff and Van Driver under the supervision of the Event Manager. The position will assist in the transportation of CUH intercollegiate athletic teams to and from the airport for their road games. Applicants must be willing to work both events and van driving. Hours of transportation vary, ranging from weekdays to weekends, mornings, afternoons and evenings.

Requirements

  • Must be a currently enrolled student at Chaminade University.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Organized with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize work and resources.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Attention to detail with a focus on thoroughness and quality.
  • High integrity and ethical standards.
  • Must have a valid Drivers License.
  • Must be willing and able to work occasional nights and weekends and a varying schedule.
  • Must be able to lift 20 pounds, walk the campus with ease, and have excellent motor skills.
  • Must have finger dexterity.
  • Must be able to communicate information and ideas so that others will understand.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the transportation of CUH intercollegiate athletic teams to and from the airport for their road games.
  • Help the event manager with the setup and take down required for the individual sport on the day of a home game.
  • Work in-game operations of every home game for each of the following intercollegiate teams: Men’s/Women’s Soccer (September to November), Women’s Volleyball (September to November), Men’s/Women’s Basketball (November to March).
  • Observe all safety and health regulations and work in accordance with safe work procedures and policies of the University.
  • Report unsafe acts/conditions and injuries in a timely and proper manner.
  • Adhere to all University policies while employed.
