About The Position
WICB, Ithaca College's award-winning student-run FM radio station, is hiring on-air talent to host the station's programming during IC's academic breaks. This includes the college's summer, fall, winter, spring and April breaks and the roles of DJs and newscasters. Ithaca College’s student employment program offers meaningful experiential learning opportunities that develop transferable skills sought by employers across various industries. These positions allow students to apply classroom knowledge in real-world professional settings, fostering both personal and professional growth. Requirements
- Must be an enrolled student at Ithaca College.
- Must be an active and trained member of WICB's staff with at least one full semester of experience.
- Must have a strong understanding of WICB’s programming, studio tech, and on-air rules and procedures.
- Must be in good standing with the station.
Responsibilities
- Host the station's programming during IC's academic breaks (summer, fall, winter, spring, and April breaks).
- Serve as a DJ.
- Serve as a newscaster.
