About The Position

The TCNJ Center for the Arts seeks a Student Worker to support Audience Services in CFA venues throughout the academic year, with select events across campus. This role helps ensure patron safety and a positive guest experience.

Requirements

Strong communication skills
Teamwork and collaboration
Interest in and basic knowledge of customer service
Critical thinking and the ability to solve problems efficiently and effectively
Must have the ability to work hours during the daytime, evenings, and weekends, based on the CFA events schedule

Experience in any performing arts environment

Responsibilities

Serve as an Events Usher in the arts and performance venues on campus for the School of the Arts & Communication and TCNJ Center for the Arts as well as for other clients holding events in these venues.
Welcome and assist patrons throughout all aspects of an event, e.g. parking and wayfinding to the venue, wayfinding within the venue.
Staff the doors to scan tickets and hand out programs.
Seat patrons.
Staff the emergency exit and keep the aisles and doorways clear.
Maintain the venue's policies [food, recording, power supply, etc.].
Help to keep the venue presentable and performance ready.
Operate Box Office and process in-person sales at events.
Alert the Student Events House Manager of any issues.
