The Student Support Facilitator (SSF) will assist the Principal and school leadership team with scheduling ESE students per the IEP, and maximize services for ESE students by reviewing staff schedules, student schedules, and the master schedule. This role serves as a liaison between the district ESE office and the local school, ensuring legal compliance with federal, state, and local guidelines related to IDEA and IEP implementation. The SSF will act as a resource to ensure school principals and staff maintain compliance at the school level with all relevant rules, regulations, and practices. Responsibilities include reviewing IEPs, attending IEP meetings, and facilitating various IEP-related meetings. The position also involves analyzing student data, providing instructional support through observations and coaching, planning and implementing professional development for teachers, and coordinating data collection for reporting. Additionally, the SSF will analyze Exceptional Student Education data, develop strategies for student transition success, consult with MTSS administrators, support re-evaluation requirements, and assist with monitoring student intervention progress. The role also supports school improvement efforts and links program goals to the district vision. The SSF will provide leadership and support to students, teachers, and families in exceptional student education and attend required district trainings and meetings.
