About The Position

The Los Angeles Student Staff program is a school-year initiative for paid and volunteer Student Staff. This program is designed to train and develop individuals called to incarnational ministry with disinterested youth. It aims to deepen an individual's faith and strengthen ministry skills, with a focus on personal spiritual formation and the 5 C's of Young Life. The curriculum can be adapted for specific ministry focuses like Capernaum or Young Life College. This program is mandatory for all paid student staff and also open to volunteers committed to intensive ministry development. Participants are expected to attend all training sessions and complete assignments throughout the year. Mid-year and year-end evaluations will be conducted by regional trainers and included in the supervisor's annual evaluation. This program can also serve as an opportunity for Young Life staff to identify suitable candidates for Student Staff roles within their areas or regions.
