About The Position

The Student Services Coordinator is responsible for the comprehensive planning, coordination, and execution of student-focused and admissions-related events and initiatives. This role supports the full student lifecycle, from prospective student engagement through matriculation and ongoing student involvement, by managing event logistics, communications, student organization operations, and assessment efforts. The Coordinator collaborates across departments to enhance student experience, ensure operational efficiency, and maintain compliance with institutional policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • Event Planning experience
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
  • Must be local to the Central Florida area.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills in order to work well with faculty, staff, students, administration, and the public
  • Maintaining confidentiality and attention to detail are essential
  • Respond calmly and appropriately in emotional situations
  • Listen and communicate in a positive manner
  • Collaborate and interact with healthcare professionals
  • Organize, direct, and prioritize work appropriately
  • Exercise independent judgments in complex and new situations

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of Student Affairs and Admissions events, including but not limited to Welcome Week, Student Leadership Summit, Interview Days, Admitted Students Day and Open Houses, etc.
  • Oversee all event logistics, including space reservations, catering, technology, signage, materials, registration, and day-of execution.
  • Ensure seamless event flow, troubleshoot issues in real time, and maintain high levels of engagement and participation.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for deposited students prior to matriculation.
  • Coordinate and manage communications related to deposit deadlines, pre-matriculation requirements, compliance documentation, and orientation preparation.
  • Track completion of requirements and conduct follow-up to ensure readiness for matriculation.
  • Manage student organization processes, including room reservations, scheduling, and event logistics to ensure effective resource utilization.
  • Oversee and process all Student Affairs-related forms (e.g., Equipment Request Forms, Advisor Approval Forms), ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with institutional policies.
  • Develop, distribute, and respond to communications related to Student Affairs and Admissions initiatives in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Admissions, Student Affairs, Communications, Faculty, IT, and Facilities, to coordinate events, initiatives, and student engagement efforts such as annual class photos.
  • Ensure adherence to institutional policies and procedures across all events, student organization activities, and admissions processes.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of student records in compliance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).
  • Manage event registration, attendance tracking, and preparation of materials such as name badges, packets, signage, and presentations.
  • Provide general administrative support and perform additional duties as assigned in alignment with Student Affairs and Admissions priorities.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
