About The Position

The Student Services Coordinator I plays a crucial role in providing comprehensive support to students, contributing to their overall academic success and well-being. This position involves collaborating with various departments and stakeholders to address student needs, facilitate engagement, and ensure a positive student experience.

Requirements

  • Associates degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
  • 0 - 3 years of experience in student services, advising, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated commitment to student success and development.
  • Successful completion of a background check and current and/or ability to obtain the following clearances: Child Abuse, State Police, FBI Fingerprinting, and Mandated Reporter for Child Abuse.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.

Responsibilities

  • Assist students in navigating policies and procedures.
  • Address student concerns and provide guidance on available resources for academic and personal support.
  • Assist with the enrollment process, including registration, course add/drop, and withdrawals.
  • Collaborate with Student Engagement to facilitate the smooth transition of new students.
  • Assist with basic tech support.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential student records.
  • Process and update student information in the database.
  • Provide support in crisis situations and refer students to appropriate resources.
  • Collaborate with Student Success and other support units to ensure a holistic approach to student well-being.
  • Serve as a point of contact for student inquiries, emails, and phone calls.
  • Disseminate important information to students regarding deadlines, policies, and events.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
