Student Respiratory (Registry/Alternating Shifts)
About The Position
The Student Respiratory position provides diagnostic, therapeutic, and educational services for adult patients to the extent that their Student Permit to Practice Respiratory Care allows. This is a developmental position, intended for incumbents to gain the expertise and skills to successfully complete education requirements. With 12 ministries and access points across Indiana and Illinois, Franciscan Health is one of the largest Catholic health care systems in the Midwest. Requirements
- Enrolled in Respiratory program
- High School Diploma/GED
- Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association
- Student Permit to Practice Respiratory Care - State Licensing Board Required within 90 days of hire
Responsibilities
- Schedule procedures.
- Inform supervisor of problems as they arise.
- Communicate and interact with physicians.
- Follow hospital infection control and isolation procedures.
