About The Position
The Student Respiratory position at Franciscan Health Indianapolis Campus provides diagnostic, therapeutic, and educational services for adult patients, limited to the extent allowed by their Student Permit to Practice Respiratory Care. This is a developmental role, designed for incumbents to gain the necessary expertise and skills to successfully complete their education requirements.
Requirements
- Enrolled in Respiratory program
- High School Diploma/GED
- Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association
- Student Permit to Practice Respiratory Care - State Licensing Board (Required within 90 days of hire)
Responsibilities
- Schedule procedures
- Inform supervisor of problems as they arise
- Communicate and interact with physicians
- Follow hospital infection control and isolation procedures
