About The Position

The Student Respiratory position at Franciscan Health Indianapolis Campus provides diagnostic, therapeutic, and educational services for adult patients, limited by the extent of their Student Permit to Practice Respiratory Care. This is a developmental role designed for incumbents to acquire the necessary expertise and skills to successfully fulfill their educational requirements. Franciscan Health, a large Catholic health care system with 12 ministries across Indiana and Illinois, is committed to providing compassionate, comprehensive care to its patients and communities.

Requirements

• Enrolled in Respiratory program
• High School Diploma/GED
• Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association Required within 90 days of hire
• Student Permit to Practice Respiratory Care - State Licensing Board

Responsibilities

• Schedule procedures
• Inform supervisor of problems as they arise
• Communicate and interact with physicians
• Follow hospital infection control and isolation procedures
